While trends come and go, the spray-on bodycon dress has had great moments in the last couple of decades. So many designers have attempted to perfect this garment, but none managed the coup as well as Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant from the Paris-based brand Coperni.
Using an actual spray-on fabric developed with natural fibres suspended in polymer by fabric technology company Fabrican, its team used Bella Hadid’s almost naked body as a 3D canvas. The painting process took fifteen minutes, and when completed, a Coperni design team member approached the top model and started to cut and began to adjust the then-dried fabric, draping and cutting a slit on the side until it was ready. The model walked out, clothed in the stunning white creation, in front of a dizzied crowd.
The stunt is reported to have reached 26.3 million dollars in media value, with 20.9 million dollars attributed to social media. I hope I’ve convinced you to check out the video. Watch it or read more about it here.
